Yes , you can take out a book as long as it is not a multi- volume set of looseleaf set.

The goal of the Law Library administration and staff is to make the collection freely available to all patrons, as is consistent with proper and equitable use. To maintain this open and welcoming environment, we ask all users to be courteous, abiding by all library rules, including the following:

 Access to the Law Library is limited to Hofstra University students, faculty, law alumni, staff and members of the bench and bar.  Please be prepared to show your HofstraCard to the attendant at the library entrance
