To find out where in the legislative process a particular bill is, use the research database Congressional Publicationshttp://ezproxy.hofstra.edu/login?url=https://proquest.com/congressional?accountid=11449

To access bill tracking reports, click on "Search by Citation" and look under "Congressional Bills."

Use the Bills by Number Form and enter the bill number, public law number or statute number.

Another resource provided by the Library of Congress- via Congress.gov.  You can search for a summary of your bill as well as the status in the legislative process.  Use the Bill Searches and Lists feature.
