First, determine which Hofstra library collection holds the book. This information appears in the online catalog record under the header "Location." If the book is part of the circulating collection, you will see "Axinn Stacks" there. This means you can check it out, and it will be somewhere in the stacks on floors 3 to 8. To figure out exactly on which floor, note the letter(s) at the beginning of the call number and click on Axinn Stacks to access the floor-call number match-up chart (see here). This chart is also posted on library's main floor and in the elevators. In addition, the Reference Desk on the main floor has bookmarks that match call number letters to library floors, as well as subject areas.
