The Curriculum Materials Center, now located in the Axinn Library houses many materials to help you construct and a teach a lesson. There are manipulatives, games, children’s literature, curriculum guides and text books. Teacher Editions of textbooks are also sources of lesson plans.
Please visit either the Elementary Education Libguide http://libguides.hofstra.edu/elementaryeducation or Secondary Education Libguide http://libguides.hofstra.edu/secondaryed for direction on which websites provide the best lesson plans. Additionally ERIC (accessible via the Research Database page on the library home page) may be searched for lesson plans.
To access the Research Databases, please go to the Library homepage at www.Hofstra.edu/Library > Research Resources (light blue tab) > Research Databases. You will be prompted for your username and password. After entering your username/password, you will arrive at a screen where you can access databases either by subject area or alphabetically by name of database.
