In addition to the online encyclopedias held by Hofstra Univeristy, two major open-access scholarly online philosophy encyclopedias exist. You do not need to be logged in via MyHofstra to access them. One is the Stanford Ecyclopedia of Philosophy. The articles in this resource are high level scholarly articles on most topics in philosophy.  Additionally the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy contains scholarly articles. These may be written at a level more accessible to undergraduates. A large number of electronic encyclopedias in specific areas of philosophy are listed on the Philosophy Libguide. It is found under Guides & Tutorials on the University Library homepage. You must be logged in via MyHofstra to access these resources.
