To find out if Hofstra subscribes to a particular journal, Please go to the Library homepage at www.Hofstra.edu/Library > Search Journal Finder. Enter the title of the journal in which you are interested. Do not enter the words "The" or "A" or "An" at the beginning of the title. If the title contains the word "and" or the symbol "&", enter it both ways if the title doesn't appear after your first attempt.
If Hofstra subscribes to the journal in electronic format, you will see a link to a database or several links to databases that contain the full text of that journal. You will also see dates of coverage for each database. Click on the database link that contains issues from the date or time period you are interested in. Once in the database, you can search for specific information/article.
If Hofstra subscribes to the journal in print format, you will see the notation, "Hofstra University print holdings" and the dates of coverage. You can come to the ground floor of Axinn Library to retrieve what you need or if you know the specific article/articles you need, you can request that it be sent to you in PDF format. Use the form here to make your request.
